As a Christian you probably know the day is coming. . . The day when you would be told you can no longer pray at work. For Coach Joe Kennedy (a Washington State High School Football Coach) that day occurred over two years ago but a recent court decision confirmed that he could no longer pray at work.
Today, this decision is just affecting Coach Kennedy directly. However, it will likely not be long before it begins to affect football coaches, all coaches and Christians everywhere.

Encase you are not aware of what I am taking about; let me take a moment to clarify. A three-judge panel ruled the Bremerton School District was justified in suspending Coach Joe Kennedy after he took a knee and prayed silently at midfield after football games. This prayer usually lasted less than 30 seconds. Despite these facts, Coach Kennedy’s school ordered him to refrain from bowing his head, taking a knee or doing anything that could be perceived as praying on public school property.
Can I just take a moment and say WOW!!! I mean what Coach Kennedy did sound very similar to saying grace before a meal. We are now living in world where if you work as a public employee, your religious freedom is not protected.
So how do we respond as Christians? The answer is very simple, pray anyway. Remember the story of Daniel and the lion dean. Yes it is really that simple. While I would love to see Christians rally together and march in protest of this courts decision, I also know there is great power in prayer.
Likewise, if you know of a Christian coach, encourage him/her to defy the new law and pray anyway in a strong show of faith. When they pray, support them. If you are at the game, join them in prayer.
